Art Career Day

Art Career Day

The Clay Center is excited to announce our second Art Career Day for high school art students across the state! This event offers a unique opportunity for students to explore visual art careers right here in West Virginia. Throughout the day, students will engage in a variety of enriching activities, including tours of our current exhibitions featuring West Virginia artists Charly Jupiter Hamilton and Rosalie Haizlett, hands-on workshops, and the chance to meet and network with professional artists and arts workers.

Students will also attend a career fair where they can connect with West Virginian artisans, museums, galleries, government agencies, foundations, and colleges. This will be an invaluable experience for those interested in pursuing a future in the visual arts.

Registration is required. To attend, contact Zach Merritt, Director of Education & Visitor Experience, at ZMerritt@theclaycenter.org.
