Bistro Attendant
SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide excellent customer service while serving patrons of the Bistro and making sure guests have a positive dining experience. The Bistro Attendant will perform daily duties such as: stocking and prepping food options, cashing out patrons and managing the register, maintaining a clean dining area by busing tables and returning trays and utensils, and assist patrons with any dining needs. The Bistro attendant may also assist in seating and serving guest for special events and evening performances as scheduled.
PAY: $13.50 per hour
REQUIREMENTS:
One to two years related experience preferred
Ability to articulate well and communicate positively with guests
Skill to handle cash responsibly and accurately.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Guest Services Representative
SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide guests with a positive initial experience at the Clay Center. This experience is created by providing guests with accurate event information, assisting them in purchasing/picking up tickets to Clay Center events as well as daily museum admission, assisting with customer service matters that may arise, and performing opening procedures and end of day reporting for the Box Office. This position interacts with a variety of constituents and works with all other staff of the Clay Center to maintain a high level of guest service. Employee may occasionally oversee Box Office operations in the absence of the Guest Services Manager and Assistant Guest Services Manager. Employee must exercise some independent judgment and initiative.
PAY: $15.00 per hour
REQUIREMENTS:
One year or more experience in customer service or marketing.
Ability to develop a growing knowledge of ticketing software systems. Experience with MS Office.
Capability of communicating positively with guests to establish their needs efficiently and courteously.
Skill to handle cash responsibly and accurately.
Ability to work as a member of a team.

Group Reservations Coordinator
SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to handle group, birthday, and camp reservations at the Clay Center as well as some box office responsibilities. This person is the point person on all group tours throughout the course of the year and will be the primary contact person for schools/organizations looking to visit the Clay Center. This position interacts with a variety of constituents and works with all other staff of the Clay Center to maintain a high level of guest service. Employee may occasionally oversee Box Office operations in the absence of the Guest Services Manager. Employee must exercise some independent judgment and initiative.
PAY: $15.00 per hour

Sponsorship & Fundraising Events Manager
SUMMARY: In collaboration with the VP of Development, the Fundraising Events & Sponsorship Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of the Clay Center’s fundraising events, as well as managing the Center’s sponsorship program. This position provides administrative support for Friends of Clay Center and Corporate Relations Sub-committee.
SALARY: $50,000
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree (four-year college or university) or equivalent experience
2+ years of successful fundraising and/or professional sales experience (fundraising experience preferred; a record of success in securing corporate sponsorship ideal)
Specialized knowledge in organizing and managing all logistical aspects of large meetings and/or special events; 2+ years experience preferred
Strong knowledge of not-for-profit fundraising strategies and best practices and interest in building skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with budgeting and revenue tracking
Ability to keep the highest levels of confidentiality
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and comfortable learning new technology
Experience with The Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising and/or relationship management software strongly preferred.

Discovery Leader
SUMMARY: Discovery Leaders will provide exceptional customer service at the Clay Center by encouraging visitors to interact with museum experiences, engaging them in programs and demonstrations, and assisting them throughout their visit. They will also assist in the maintenance and upkeep of all exhibit galleries.
PAY: $13.50 per hour

Facility Technician
SUMMARY: Perform work involving the general upkeep, appearance, and security of the Clay Center, including but not limited to wall patching, painting, bulb replacement, minor plumbing, and electrical. In addition, this position is also responsible for general building maintenance duties as assigned by the Building Manager.
