Homeschool Day

Homeschool Day – Space Explorationover again?

Join us as we take a trip through the cosmos! You’ll start your day off with a fun and engaging presentation in the Caperton Planetarium Theater where you'll see the universe come to life. During this presentation we'll be focusing on the sun, how scientist study this celestial body as well as how you can safely view our upcoming eclipse in April. Afterwards we’ll move down to our workshop space for a hands-on lab where families will work together to program and pilot robots to navigate different tasks and challenges. After these fun presentations you’ll have opportunities to explore the Avampato Discovery Museum, see the Romare Bearden art exhibit in the Juliet Art Museum, and more! Our Curiosity Cafe is also now open and would love to serve you and your family a delicious lunch to round out your day at the Clay Center.

This workshop is appropriate for ages 6-11 however workshops are open to entire families.
