Join poet, journalist, and activist Crystal Good for an ekphrastic poetry workshop.
Are you familiar with ekphrastic poetry? This term describes writing that responds to works of visual art. The poetry in this workshop will be inspired by our current exhibit: “Romare Bearden: Artist, Activist, Visionary.” Participants will tour the exhibit and learn exercises to help develop their written voice. Writing supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your preferred laptops, booklets, or pens.
All ages are welcome. Participants under 10 must be accompanied by a guardian. Limited space available; advanced registration required. Questions? Please call our Box Office at 304-561-3570 or email JulietArtMuseum@theclaycenter.org.
Presented with support from The Elliott Family Foundation, Daywood Foundation, Herscher Foundation, Inc., Charles & Mary Fayne Glotfelty Foundation, Bernard H. & Blanche E.
