“Stories are Made, Loop by Loop” Gallery Talk with guest curator Susan Feller

  • Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences of West Virginia 1 Clay Square Charleston, WV, 25301 United States (map)

Join guest curator Susan Feller for a behind-the-scenes talk in our current exhibition “Stories are Made, Loop by Loop.”

Feller will share how the exhibition came together and highlight the different approaches taken by the nine fiber artists presenting their work.

Feller is an artist and rughooker living in West Virginia. She uses fiber art to bring attention to the delicate balance between humanity’s need for progress and limited natural resources, showing the beauty of our region while asking viewers to think about their own impact on our environment.

An advocate for the arts throughout Appalachia, Feller links past generations by networking, curating, and promoting makers assuring the craft of rughooking will continue into the future.

This event is included with museum admission.
