(SOLD OUT) Relief Printmaking Workshop
You love their posters, and now you can learn hand-carving techniques from the artists themselves! Join Emily and Betsy Sokolosky of Basecamp Printing Co. for TWO introductory relief printmaking workshops at the Clay Center. Learn the fundamentals of carving a linocut by cutting away negative space to create a raised image. Then, ink your surface and run it through our press to create your very own limited edition of prints. While you’re here, check out Charly Hamilton’s relief woodblock prints in his retrospective exhibition on display!
All experience levels are welcome, but children under 10 to be accompanied by an adult. Limited space available; advanced registration required. Questions? Please call our Box Office at 304-561-3570 or email JulietArtMuseum@theclaycenter.org.
