Join us for our fun-filled special event days throughout the year. Each day is full of family entertainment with themed science and art activities taking place throughout the day in addition to our three floors of art and science exhibits. All special family event day activities are included in the price of admission (which is free for members), exceptions are noted in descriptions.
Summer Fun Day
Sunday, July 28
Noon – 5 pm
We’re turning 10! Celebrate this big birthday with an afternoon of fun. Free activities include giant screen films, planetarium shows, a musical instrument petting zoo, side walk chalk, giant bubbles and many more fun surprises!
Dino Day
Saturday, September 28
Noon – 4 pm
It’s a prehistoric party as we explore amazing creatures from the past with stories, art activities, science demonstrations and more! Join us in the Dino Lab and make your own “fossils,” see special science demonstrations on dinosaur tracks and meet the Clay Center reptiles in a dino-themed mini-zoo. This is also the perfect way to kick off our new traveling exhibit Be the Dinosaur which opens in the Mylan explore-atory.
