Maier Performance Hall The Clay Center performance season lineup each year is filled with imaginative, provocative and inspiring performances, exciting theater shows, popular entertainers, dance, comedy and more.

Enjoy great names like Bill Cosby, Ricky Skaggs, Lily Tomlin, Trisha Yearwood, Vince Gill, Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, Kathy Griffin and many more in the Center’s Maier Foundation Performance Hall.  Extraordinary performances, such as Montana Repertory’s Steel Magnolias, Capitol Steps and Second City have delighted our audiences. Delight in our partnerships with local community organizations, such as Charleston Light Opera Guild, Mountain Stage, Kanawha Players and Charleston Stage Company.  Each year our lineup is a full season of eagerly anticipated entertainment.  Plus, the Broadway in Charleston series has a great lineup of top-notch shows.

Maier Foundation Performance Hall is also the home performance venue for the renowned West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. Under the direction of Grant Cooper, artistic director and conductor, the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra presents a varied season, including the Symphonic and Pops concert series, family concerts, a fully-staged opera, and more.

Immerse yourself in cabaret style theater, special events, limited-seating concerts and more in the Center’s Walker Theater. Join us for the monthly Woody Hawley Concert Series that feature some of the best singer/songwriters anywhere.
